DIBELS Summit 2009

February 18-20, 2009

Tamaya Resort and Spa, Albuquerque, New Mexico

DIBELS Summit 2009 Overview
DIBELS Summit 2009 will be an exciting learning opportunity for DIBELS leaders, researchers, and implementation team members who are seeking additional knowledge and professional dialog to facilitate their learning and work in the areas of Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS), Response to Intervention, literacy, and linking DIBELS to instruction.

Breakout sessions on research, leadership, advanced implementation, and linking DIBELS to instruction will allow participants to increase their knowledge and skills, as well as dialogue and network with colleagues and nationally-recognized experts.  Two panel discussions of distinguished DIBELS experts, focus groups, and featured speakers are added events again for 2009.  All participants are expected to present at a future DIBELS Summit.

Each breakout session will be either: (a) applied research, (b) leadership,  (c) advanced implementation, or (d) linking DIBELS to instruction. There will be four concurrent sessions offered during each breakout period.  Each breakout session will be 1.5 hours in length and will include one hour of presentation followed by an half hour for questions and discussion.  With the limited number of participants available, preference may be given to researchers and leadership teams within the DIBELS learning community. Participants and presenters are expected to attend all sessions and stay for the duration of the Summit.
