High Plains Regional Education Cooperative supports district technology efforts in the development of infrastructure, methodologies, and initiatives to increase student learning outcomes. The leveraging of resources provides necessary technologies that may otherwise be cost prohibitive to rural districts.
HPREC’s 2012-2015 Strategic Technology Plan provides long range support for regional school districts with a focus on:
- Professional development
- Support for at-risk populations
- Specific technology related focus areas
iPad 2 Project
HPREC is committed to transforming therapy and ancillary services to meet the diverse needs of students and schools in the 21st Century. In 2011–2012, HPREC initiated the use of iPad 2s in therapy. This project is an opportunity to rethink how related services are provided to students with special needs. The goal is to use iPad 2 applications to engage students and families, increase effectiveness and productivity, and create a digital learning environment to produce meaningful academic and behavioral results.
