Qualifications:

  • Possess or be eligible for Level 3B New Mexico Administrative License.
  • Proven record of school leadership and organizational skills.
  • Proven record of school or business budget and finance operations.
  • Effectively administer New Mexico State and USDE Federal Programs. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of curriculum development, systems improvement, program evaluation, effective instructional strategies, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing. Demonstrate the ability to use technology for word processing, communication, data management, and required state and federal reporting.
  • Must have successful experience as an elementary or secondary teacher.
  • Must demonstrate good moral character, initiative, excellent integrity, and the ability to motivate people.
  • Preference will be given to applicants able and willing to perform additional duties such as, Principal, Special Education Director, Athletic Director, Federal Programs Coordinator, and/or other duties within the scope of district operations.

Reports to: Des Moines Municipal Schools Board of Education

Starting Date: July 1, 2010

Salary: Negotiable
