Technology Mission Statement
The mission of High Plains Regional Education Cooperative Technology is to raise expectations and standards for all learners by enhancing its instructional and administrative programs through the effective use of technology.

Technology Vision Statement
By the year 2009, all students and staff will be actively engaged in meaningful activities in a technology-rich environment, which will enhance teaching, learning, communications, and productivity. All students will be prepared to compete in a technically advanced work force.

Purpose of the Technology Function at HPREC
HPREC will add all the benefits of being a cooperative towards the acquisition of technology training, planning, assessment, and implementation. By establishing a Technology Advisory Committee that includes expertise from all districts, HPREC is able to support the goals and vision of the Cooperative as a whole.  The technology vision at HPREC also encompasses the use of technology in the teaching process.  HPREC has been asked to support and council on state-wide initiatives that will enhance the availability of technology for students in rural New Mexico.  Projects of this stature include the IDEAL-NM and Cyber Academy roll-out, as well as higher level connectivity projects for the state that include Lamda Rail and Internet 2 access.  HPREC is on the pulse of technology implementation and vision for the state of NM and a very big piece of the technology initiatives within the state and region.
