    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Hold a master’s degree in an education job-related field from an accredited university.
    • Hold or be eligible for a current NMPED license in teaching, administration or as an instructional support provider.
    • Possess knowledge of school operations structure and policies, including special education processes, student curriculum, professional learning communities, positive school climate, Child-Find, CTE, and multi-level systems of support.
    • Have experience analyzing data to improve and manage NMPED accountability systems.
    • Have experience with staff evaluation and budget management.
    • Possess strong relationship-building skills to establish and maintain positive outcomes with other HPREC #3 staff, community, stakeholders, and HPREC #3 member districts. (including training skills to lead large teams)
    • Have knowledge of or have an aptitude to learn computer and technology skills.
    • Demonstrate written and oral communication skills to support grant writing and requests for proposals.

  • School Social Worker

    Position Details:
    Seeking a social worker to offer direct services to local school districts to address the social, emotional, behavioral, and environmental barriers hindering student academic success. *Travel is expected. Social work provider will collaborate with various special education providers and teams while consistently delivering high-quality student sessions in varied forms. Other required social worker duties include providing documentation for individualized educational plans, 504 plans, and/or other school support plans along with daily Medicaid/treatment session notes and completing student evaluations/skill assessments.
    Qualifications:
    Ideal candidates should preferably have knowledge of the IDEA Act of 2004 (Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act) and other state and federal laws that guarantee eligible students with disabilities the right to a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). Hired social work provider will adhere to HPREC #3, district, and license policies and procedures.
    Ideal candidates will have experience developing positive behavioral intervention strategies and knowledge of research and evidence-based social skill curriculums. Candidates should have strong communication and relationship skills to support school district staff with essential information to better understand student needs.
    Social work practitioners are:
    • Licensed by the Social Work Examiners Board as master’s level independent social work practitioner.
    • Licensed by the Social Work Examiners Board as a bachelor’s or master’s level social worker and supervised by a licensed Ph.D., Psy.D., Ed.D., ED.S., LCSW/LISW, or other board approved supervisor.
    • Additionally, social work practitioners must meet licensure requirements of  New Mexico Public Education Department( NMPED).
    • Familiarity with the New Mexico Medicaid provider credentialing process is preferred; however, the candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain the necessary credentials upon hire.
