Employment Opportunity - Business Manager Trainee

High Plains Regional Education Cooperative #3 is accepting applications for the position of Business Manager Trainee. This position will require a six-month training/evaluation period from July 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and overseeing the functions of the Business Office
  • Knowledge of all phases of budget preparation and maintenance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the HPREC team, member district leaders, and auditors
  • Commitment to maintain regulatory compliance, in all aspects of the organization

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field
  2. Possess or have the ability to obtain a New Mexico School Business Official License
  3. Three years of experience in a similar position, with experience in a regional education cooperative, service agency, or New Mexico school district preferred.
  4. Knowledge of the Tyler Technology Visions Financial Management System preferred

Salary will be based on education and experience.

In partnership with the New Mexico Regional Education Cooperatives Association (NMRECA) and the New Mexico Public Education Department, the project is comprised of several components to meet the needs of students and staff located around the state in public school districts and charters.
